B'day and sleeping pills

Today I did managed to wish happy b'day to Vee on the right day.......though the plans to go to the hammam did stutter to an aborption as I somehow managed to confuse the agenda...oh well.

Vee got "slightly" tipsy at parent's place before heading to his parent's place for a celebratory dinner in his honour. I joined Virginie, Charlotte, Alexia and R. for dinner. Fouadima decided not to come as she got freshly dumped by her lover. After some persuasion he did come, though in a complete groggy state. She could not stand nor have a normal conversation, which was an obvious conclusion after having gulped 6 sleeping pills and God knows what else. Off to Alexia's place, Alexia and myself had to carry Fuadima....pump her stomach ourselves, as the SAMU and pompiers did not answer Virginie's calls.....and then put her to bed.

Back to the restaurant and then off to the Raiid (Charlotte, Virginie and myself). Vee being utterly drunk came up as an excuse that he had a meeting early morning and was utterly pissed to be able to come and join us........same as usual..packed and as usual we left Charlotte who supposetly had a work reunion at 8.30 the following day in there......

Got to get briefed by that slapper Charlotte..... 

New B'day

Jee...b'days just keep on popping all over the place. Today it is my brother's D. b'day. Celebrated it with the family, with skinny dipping in the pool. Drunk huge amounts and ate huge amounts too.......fun evening if we try to forget that the train that was supposed to take us from Marseille to Sanary got delayed and stuck on the tracks for an "indefinite" amount of time as there was a technical problem. And of course C. did not miss the opportunity to question the nature of the relationship between myself and ex-OOD.......Mind you he would even ask the same question if I brought a goat with me.

 

I think tomorrow will be hang over day....Activities: lie like a lizard on the side of the pool

Week day....four

Realised that I forgot to wish my dear girlfriend L. best wishes for her birthday.So now we shall wish her a happy b'day every year. So keep it that important date on your calendars, or add it if you have not put it down...NOW!!!!

Then got all technological, around the world, one more time. You didn't get it did you? These are three titles from an über known french group: Daft Punk. Got a surprise as I happened to be invited to their concert yesterday evening in a private box. So bubbly galore in the fridge!!!! OK I could not resist the call of bubbly, though after listening to the first part and downing my second bubbly decided that enough was enough and switched to water. Then came Daft Punk....very good concert in the way that the sound was amazing, the light effects very good and the crowd amazing. It felt like being in a huge disco.

 When the concert finished, people just took their mobiles out to call them back. Quite good trick as if felt you were somewhere utterly out of space.  

The main thing about Bercy was the "fosse"...it is huge! And it was packed.

So the concert was fun, felt as if in a huge disco. But it only lasted 1h20 minutes and it was obviously all pre-mixed and played playback. Daft Punk did not mix direct live, which is a big shame as accordlingly they are pretty good at doing live mixing and getting the crowd with them. What saved them was the famous tunes, the light effects, the sound and the crowd going bezerk. Though it was all in all fun.
