Oh Paris...
Back to Paris......and oh boy did it started wonderfully. Bird brain came over to meet me at home. And then off we went to eat out and then try the Velolib. An amazing thing to have in Paris.......wonderful....lovely....superbe...which meant off to the Duplex meeting LDM and our son Mikachou. A few drinks after that, our free bikes in hand we were supposed to get home until passing by A.R.'s neighbourhood we decided to pay him a visit. Called Foufouna to join us, and off we went drinking and nattering. I did have to turn down A.R's kind invite to help myself to his home made lasagna. But could not resist the whisky.......fufigno brazilian gazilian arrived later on and after more drinking we did leave the three of them to make our way home.....
Ah...Paris.....

Zilch the end.
Parents got back a day earlier....that brings to an end my zilching. Though I did miss them quite a lot. Now life is back to more or less normal, eat, drink, sit by the pool, play backgammon, eat, read, off to the harbour etc.....

How to be caught by fashion
Even the most fashion refractry person ends up caught up by the magical pétasse chic deathly whirlpool. In this case we have exhibit A being very resistant to fashion; but now got caught in posession of a turquoise D&G swim suit
Zeu bumpeu looks a bit weird I may bring to your notice.....
and now succombed to a shopping spree getting hold of a pair of leather summer sandal in chocolate brown.
I fear for what I will see when he gets back from his week in Sitges......

Cassis.....
Parents left today for 4 days. That means I am orphaned and find myself with ex-OOD alone in the house. After karaoke man finished his daily visit at the local internet haunt, we set off to beautiful Cassis. Cassis this, Cassis that, Cassis very nice; Cassis amazing; Cassis the jewel of the calanques. Cassis tourist trap more like it, with a tiny village, a crowded beach and that is it. Sanary is by far more interesting I may say objectively say. The only thing I learnt over there is how to correct properly banana split.
Took " la route des crètes" on the way back. Impressive views.
Cool roads to drive i, especially with that car.
Then off to la Cadière d'Azur. That village is awesome, very cozy, lots of alleys and very pleasant (pictures to be added later...eerrr did I take some pictures?). Though the only negative point might be the crap quality of the bread I bought at the local bakery in the village itself.
Luvley day.

Gay Marseille.....The myth
Marseille trip today. Ab-fab as I got to meet a friend (N.) I have not seen for 7 years. Round Marseille with ex-OOD, managed to eat at another bad restaurant, the second in two days. As we wandered round the city we ended up in the local gay pub. Arrived way too early, but the thought was to get a drink quickly, rummage through the local catalogues to see where the clubs would be located and head for the more poncy ones. Ze wazeu a litteule problèmeu: No reading material in view, no magazine filled of perverted pictures let alone boring articles; nothing, zilt, zilt & zilch!!!!! Though there were lots of cards stuck on the home made DJ box. Gay life in Marseille seems to revolve around 2 saunas, a cruising bar, a restaurant and tarot reading services. Ubber megalocosmopolitan. The bar tender was at least cute; chatty and smiley albeit too young. When two local cagoles barged they started speaking to him (obvioulsy this bar is filled with regulars) and thus came the converstion/
bar tender (the cute one): Hello, how is life, blablabla, I hear you met Antoine at the Sauna
Cagole 1: Yes, we saw (pointing to Cagole 2 that had that bored cow stare on), pretended he did see us, and we did the same. Did he tell you that he met us?
bar tender: No no no, he did not mention anything.
Cagole 1: Because with me, I never say a thing, I am mute as tomb. That is for sure. He pretended he did not see us or know us as he was with some random I never seen before. I guess he might have been embarrassed, but it is not the first time we see each other there. If he wants to act like that, fine, I do not care what so ever. But as I said I will not tell anyone that I met him there, as he seemed embarrassed, and I hardly say anything anyway about people; you know me.
bar tender: Yes, of course
Cagole 1: OK we are off ( taking hold of cagole 2, the one with the bored cow stare on, who in addition did not move by a single iota). See you later, but do not tell him that I told you that, OK?
bar tender: yes yes, see you later
After that heavy duty conversation, I needed a drink. And our luck was on, KARAOKE night!!!! Lots of people barged in, took hold of the mike and started singing. Even ex-OOD went out and sang a Beattles song (Help). I have to say, that he did impress me......He was by a million years the best of tonight's crowd. The man can hold a mike and sing, though he could do some heavy duty working on the stage presence.
Marseille, a buzzing city teeming with a gay life.....Eeeeeeerrrrrr.....

ex-OOD falls into pieces
Injuries that ex-OOD managed to get whilst on holiday: bruised ribs, turkey shivers and a broken tooth. Now that happened whilst he was biting a toasted piece of bread at breakfast. Reminds me my Daime episode. An dash to a local dentist and some money exchange and the problem was temporarily fixed......Now I fear what will be next.
Funny though how your minds can work. Managed to get hold of an old friend to see her in Marseille tomorrow. We did chat a while and in the conversation the names of two old mates did pop up too. All fine and suddenly badaboom!!!! Nostalgia took over with the bittersweet of sadness that started growing from after taste to the main ingredient. Ages since I suddenly felt like that (I do though remember exactly when but cannot put a finger on what triggered it). And now it is the same. Just want to be alone, think, sit tight, watch people and allow that feeling engulf me utterly and totally. As if I would want to just sink and drawn in it.....Mind you listening to utterly nostalgic and dramatic songs is a very good idea to catalyse the process. The feeling of emptiness that I feel must rise from some insatisfaction that I might try to bury and not deal with it. Though sometimes the damns do break and then it is sayonara. Problem will be how long will I have to endure that feeling, which although reconforting at times it does lead to some totally illogical and destructive behaviour. All this making it harder to play a role of moi being happy and chirpy as if all is OK.......Mmmmpffff....guess I will have just to sit tight and wait till the flooding has ceased and see what can be done......
Feelings...Feelings....and expressing feelings....one of my long lived demons.

Hang over day
Bingo.....woke up at 6.30 with what people might call a hangover, though the lack of sleep might as well play a bigger role than expected. So off we went to drop him at the station, then to the harbour to get a breakfast, which orange juice created havock in my stomach for the rest of the day.
I want a bed.....I want to feel OK...Just want to lie under the sun but do not want to get burnt.....which anyway happened.
In the meanwhile ex-OOD was getting turkey as he needed internet connection. Which at the end he managed to get at the local cyber shop; where the minute costs as much as an ounce of gold!!!
Surely the owner can buy himself a couple of boats after a month's work.

New B'day
Jee...b'days just keep on popping all over the place. Today it is my brother's D. b'day. Celebrated it with the family, with skinny dipping in the pool. Drunk huge amounts and ate huge amounts too.......fun evening if we try to forget that the train that was supposed to take us from Marseille to Sanary got delayed and stuck on the tracks for an "indefinite" amount of time as there was a technical problem. And of course C. did not miss the opportunity to question the nature of the relationship between myself and ex-OOD.......Mind you he would even ask the same question if I brought a goat with me.
I think tomorrow will be hang over day....Activities: lie like a lizard on the side of the pool
.....
